United’s Betting Odds Tighten In Premiership Race

Manchester United’s football betting odds have moved firmly into the red following games played in recent weeks. They are now 7/10 with Arsenal next best at 4/1. Former favourites Chelsea are now out 10/1 while United’s neighbours, Manchester City, hold firm at 8/1.

This weekend’s games won’t make much of a difference to those odds with United still having at least one game in hand compared to their opponents. They face an interesting away game on Sunday against Spurs who will be desperate to keep Chelsea out of the top four.  Spurs have been quoted at 2/1 to win with United at 13/8. United have a poor record away from home, although it must be said they don’t actually lose many. This makes the draw attractive at 5/2 and we’ll make it a our tip.

The home sides look to be good bets this weekend including Liverpool over Everton. If you are looking for some real value, Blackpool could make life difficult for West Bromwich tomorrow afternoon. Blackpool surprised Liverpool early this week with a 2-1 win and, at 15/4, are good value.

Betting on the next manager to leave is hot with Avram Grant predicted to go any day. He seems to survive from one match to the next if you listen to bookmakers and sportswriters. He must have a lot of charmed lives if you believe what you read. He has been quoted around the traps at 1/3 to be next to go while Chelsea’s Ancelotti is at 11/2. We predicted that Liverpool would be the first to change managers and they did late last week. Who will be next? We’ll tip Gerard Houllier at 7/1.
