United Easing In Premiership Betting Odds

Manchester United had a chance to gain a real break on the pack over the weekend but succumbed to their own ill-disciplined play to throw away three points. As a result, United’s odds to take out this year’s Premier League title have eased. Arsenal, currently second favourites, have been well supported while little has changed for the remainder of the pack.

This weekend is an important one for the two Manchesters. They face off against each other with United having the home ground advantage. There are ten points between United in first and City in third place, and a win to United will all but end any faint hope that City had of reeling in their bitter rivals. United at home are favourites at 4/5 while City are out to 4/1. The draw at 11/4 looks attractive, but we’re backing the favourites for a home ground win.

There are several games that are worth looking at from a betting perspective. Sunderland at home to Spurs should be interesting with the Black Cats holding a pretty impressive home record. They have beaten all of the top four while at home and should have little difficulty accounting for Spurs. Sunderland need this win to stay in contact with the top five, especially with Liverpool suddenly finding form. Sunderland are 15/8 and well worth supporting. Spurs are poor value on the road at 18/11.

Online bookmakers have made Everton marginal favourites, although they are away to Bolton. Neither side have performed well recently, although they have both been involved with a lot drawn results. Everton at 7/4 are poor value, especially with Bolton at 15/8. The draw at 12/5 is the best value, although we’re predicting a home win for Bolton.
