Time To Hit The Online Bookmakers – Tennis, Football and Cricket

We have an interesting couple of days of sport ahead of us as the weekend arrives and with luck, we may just score a few good wins against the online bookmakers – at least, we can try.

England are through to their first ever Twenty20 World Cup final and at this point, have leapfrogged Australia as favourite to take the title. Of course, Australia have to negotiate Pakistan to make the final and believe it or not, our boys are cheering the Aussies all the way. That old rivalry still exists and there’s nothing they would like better than to take on the Aussies in the final – and win of course. England are currently 6/5 to win with the Australians 13/10 – Pakistan are the outsiders at 6/1.

In the Tennis, the French Open preview continues in Madrid with Rafael Nadal back to his blistering best on clay – it helps it’s his home tournament. Roger Federer is laying down the challenge while our own Andy Murray is looking to make it three semi-finals in a row. He needs to get past David Ferrer who has been quoted as favourite at 8/11 in their match – Murray is at 4/3, good odds considering his form.

In the football of course, it’s FA Cup final time and Chelsea will be looking to add the rare double, the Premier League title and the FA Cup in the one season. While Chelsea are deserved favourites, don’t underestimate Portsmouth. They are under-rated and have nothing to lose by playing their own hard defensive game. If Chelsea make the mistake of thinking this will be a relatively easy game, they may come unstuck. Chelsea are at 1/5, Portsmouth 15/1 and the ninety minute draw 7/1.

Here’s a nice little trio of bets to take on the online bookmakers for the weekend. England to win the Twenty20 World Cup; Andy Murray to beat David Ferrer; and the FA Cup to go to extra time.
