The English domestic T20 competition has reached the quarterfinals stage and there are four really good matches to bet on this weekend. The four quarterfinals are all close when it comes to betting with several close to even money for both sides. It will make for some competitive betting and those who can act fast may even find it possible to back both and come away with a profit, especially with in play betting.

Hampshire are 7/2 to win the series from Somerset at 5/1 and Nottinghamshire and Sussex at 11/2. Leicestershire head the rest at 8/1 and, since they are playing Kent, are quite likely to at least reach the semi-finals – they look to be good value at those odds at this stage of the competition.

In today’s games, Leicestershire are marginal favourites at 10/11 to defeat Kent (11/10) and, at home, should be able to complete the task. You can see that game on Sky Sports HD3 while on Sky Sports HD2 you can watch Nottinghamshire (22/23) take on the Somerset (1/1) in what should be a highly competitive game. This is one match that may see the odds swinging freely during play given how competitive they are. We’re tipping Somerset to win, however, it won’t be by a big margin.

Today’s third game is between Sussex (9/13) and Lancashire (11/8), and while the visitors have played well in the series, Sussex should be too strong for them. This game will broadcast on Sky Sports HD1, however, if you’re after a really entertaining match, we suggest you stick with the Nottinghamshire-Somerset game. The last match is played tomorrow with Hampshire (8/13) taking on Durham (6/4). As the T20 betting odds suggest, Hampshire should take this game fairly easily and, although short priced, look to be the best betting option for the weekend.

The real interest will be in seeing who makes it through to the semi-finals – one or two upsets this weekend could throw the betting wide open.
