Stats Suggest Football Betting Surprises On Cards

If you are a keen follower of football stats, then you’ll know that some teams seem to follow a pattern. This weekend’s round of Premier League may look fairly straightforward on paper, but when digging a little deeper, it could deliver a few well priced winners. With luck, we’ll catch the bookmakers off guard and land a couple of decently priced winners.

A good example of this is the early game on Saturday which has West Ham (15/4) hosting Premier League leaders Manchester United (13/16). If United loose the title this year it will be because of their away form. From 15 away games, they have only delivered the three points on four occasions. West Ham are unbeaten in their last four games and another win will certainly help their relegation cause. West Ham are good value to win although with the draw at 11/4, it’s certainly worth backing both.

In other games, Birmingham (8/5) host Bolton (2/1) and with Birmingham’s terrible record at home this season, Bolton look to be good value to win on the road. Everton (6/7) are also at home where they take on Aston Villa (18/5) in what will be an interesting game. Everton are sadly short on players with almost half the side out through injury. Villa have been the victims of a rampant media claiming an internal war. Given the injury situation, we can’t take Everton at odds on so we’ll go with Villa at good odds.

Newcastle (1/1) are at home against Wolverhampton (3/1), and while the latter may be sitting in the relegation zone, don’t take them too lightly. They are on a winning streak at present and Newcastle could well be their next victims. Newcastle have a terrible record first up from an international break having been soundly beaten on each occasion. We’re tipping a Wolves win at good value.

The remaining games should see the favourites prevail, however, if one or two of our predictions get up, then you’ll be in front for the weekend.
