Seniors Switching On To Play Bingo

They say that our senior citizens don’t like computers, don’t trust the internet and are afraid of technology. The truth is, technology has taken off and left them behind in its wake. There are many online bingo sites that are reporting increases in patronage by those very same senior citizens. They are quickly catching up on the technology, and enjoying every minute of it.

Bingo has always been a game played at either end of the age spectrum. Kids have played bingo, or a form of bingo, for centuries. Our senior citizens were famous for their weekly trips to play housie, the grown up version of bingo. Those two games have merged to form a fun and frantic version called online bingo – and it’s become one of the most popular forms of online entertainment.

There are not that many places where you can play online games for pennies while having the opportunity to win hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pounds. That’s what online bingo now provides and it is one of the drawcards. It’s not the main one, however. Its main drawcard is the simplicity of play. You don’t need special skills, you don’t need to outsmart someone else, it’s just you and those numbers – will your numbers be called first?

If you have enjoyed the kids or offline versions of bingo then you’ll also enjoy playing the online versions. The games can be fast, they can be a lot of fun, and like anything to do with gambling, can be frustrating. Find a winner, however, and watch the adrenaline rush. Online bingo is for young and old, but it’s proving to be the connection that our senior citizens can make into the online world.
