Online Bookmakers Wary Of Hull

Hull may be sitting in the drop zone in the Premier League but online bookmakers are still cautious of them following their draw with Chelsea last time out. They are an enigmatic team, winning when they are outclassed and losing when they are playing well. The top teams and the home crowds certainly seem to bring the best out in them.

Online bookmakers have Hull at 9/2, fairly good odds really considering they are at home against Manchester City. Are they in the same class as Chelsea? They should be, given the number of star players they have signed up.  City are quoted at 3/4 with the draw a popular pick at 5/2. I am going with the draw today – Hull should have won against Chelsea and if they repeat that form, they will worry the boys from Manchester.

In other games today, online bookmakers have:

Liverpool (18/19) favourites against Everton (15/4). Liverpool can break back into the top four with a win here and if Spurs lose or draw to Villa later today.

Bolton (5/4) are favoured to defeat Fulham (5/2). Bolton need the win to kick clear of the bottom three. Fulham are in top form and will be hard to beat, even away from home. I like the form of the visitors here.

Burnley (8/5) favourite but West Ham (19/10) seem to be returning to form. The draw at 23/10 looks good in this game.

Manchester United (1/7) should drive another nail in to Portsmouth’s (28/1) coffin.

Stoke (13/10) are favourites and rightly so against Blackburn (12/5). At home, Stoke have a great record and I don’t see Blackburn causing any upsets here.

Sunderland (11/10) haven’t won for 11 games. They should break their duck with a win today against Wigan (3).

Tottenham (15/13) will have a tough fight in the match of the day as they host an Aston Villa (11/4) outfit that is keen to get back into the top five. They know they have to beat the top sides to do it. Spurs are tough at home, possibly too tough for Villa.

Fulham at 5/2 and Sunderland at 11/10 are today’s best odds. Happy punting.
