Gunners And Toffees Go Head To Head Again

Premier League football returns tonight with Everton and Arsenal again going head to head. Everton may well have Cahill back from the Asian Cup – they have sorely missed his strike power in recent weeks. Arsenal are at home and online bookmakers certainly prefer them there than on the road. At 1/2, they are a little short of our liking, but it’s hard to see the Toffees upsetting them this time around. Everton are 15/2 while the draw is also drifting at 7/2. Gunners to win but not at value.

Chelsea travel to Sunderland and, surprisingly, bookmakers have the visitors at a rather short 7/10. Sunderland are good value at 9/2 and well worth a nibble – in fact, I would back both the draw at 3/1 and Sunderland to win based on form. Chelsea are running hot and cold and can be hard to predict. You think they are back then they suddenly sink to a new low. Sunderland are 6th on the table, two spots behind Chelsea and a win would draw them together. This is potentially a six point game for Sunderland so expect them to play well at home.

Manchester United and West Bromwich are both at home and should win with ease. The home sides should get a good run tomorrow night although a couple of those games would provide surprise results. However, they are the games where punters find the best value.

Spurs were soundly beaten by Fulham yesterday and now travel to the high flying Blackburn. I keep telling you that Blackburn are highly under-rated – yet they keep delivering the goods. Bookmakers have Blackburn at 9/4 to Spurs 11/8 while the draw is at 5/2. Spurs will be stung by their loss yesterday, but Blackburn are tough to beat at home – we’ll tip the draw.

Birmingham may be sitting near the bottom of the table, but they can also be difficult to beat at home. Their rivals tomorrow are Manchester City, a team that often fails to deliver despite their big ticket player group. Bookmakers have City at 10/11 with Birmingham at 7/2 and the draw at 5/2. This game could go either way, but City are due for a good win so we’ll tip them in a close game.
